Default New single cup windshield mount for Escort detectors

Anybody else seen the new radar detector mount from Escort? I got an e-mail from Escort announcing them. I was impressed and stopped by the Escort store and picked one up - they're $20. A little spendy, but I have to say, it's a major improvment over that little piece of crap that comes with Escort detectors. They told me they're flying off the shelves and they have a hard time keeping them in stock. I think I got the last one yesterday.
They fit all late model Escort radar detectors. If you think you might be interested, go to their web site and check this out. I think it's probably worth it.

Since Escort and Bel are made by the same company, I'll have to check if they're making one for their BEL line. But I haven't had a problem with my current dual cup mount, even with swapping between the Stang and my DD. A 2nd mount would be nice.

you guys have had problems with the dual suction cup mount? i have the escort 8500 and dont remember having any problems

EDIT: the suction cups would come loose when i would wash the car in the summer. don't see how one suction cup would fix that. i clicked the ad below http://www.blendmount.com/beltronics.html it seems like a solid alternative. although none of the pics show the radar detector plugged up. im sure that wire would be ugly

My suction cup mounts don't stick well if they are the slightest bit cold. What I would rather have is a clamp for the rear mirror post.

Check out this new mount. If you don't want to go with the new mount, contact Escort and get some new cups for the mount you have. It will help.

Sometimes soaking the cups in warm, soapy water will rejuvenate them somewhat. Otherwise, they look like you can buy them at most hobby shops or even WalMart.

I have the country crafts rear view mirror mount and love it.
