hai guys!

quick question, when i start my car theres almost like a buzzing noise that comes from the dashboard(seems like the left side) and it lags a little. Its like it doesnt want to fire, but after it cranks it runs great. It seemed like the dash board didnt light up right away either, took like 5-10 secs then came on. Just started doing this, dont know if its battery related, dash related or something due to the cold weather, been in the 20s here all week. Any ideas?

Sounds like battery issues to me..

Probably the original battery. If so, its 4 or 5 years old. Thats about the usable life of one and the colder it gets, the weaker it gets.

Lot's of threads regarding the OE Motorcrap batteries. Seems there is quite a high percentage that flat-out suck. And my gut tells me, from reading many of those posts, is that the alternator struggles to maintain power and can eventually take a dump, too, based on the number of threads regarding bad alternators. These S197's are pretty finicky about good, clean power.
