Default So my `10 order got cancelled..

Just got a call from my dealer. No longer making 2010's anymore and apparently mine was put in too late. Ordered on 12/16, but didn't get any notification until this morning that it wasn't going to go through.

I guess that means I'll just have to wait for the 2011 then. I'll just have to take the 5.0 liter upgrade in exchange for my waiting.

Now here's my question, when do orders start for the 2011 Stangs? I really want to get mine in as soon as possible. How long until these new ones start being produced? How long until I end up getting one?

I'm mad that I'll have to wait now, but there's nothing really I can do.

You can have the dealer search for the Stang you want from other dealerships. I told my dealer what I wanted, they pulled up three within three hours awaay and did a DX.

I already tried that before ordering. Apparently, the combination of options that I wanted isn't something that is available. I would have taken this route earlier if there was one available.

he said he's still going to do another search and see if he can find something for me. If it's close enough, I may grab it, but I don't really want to get something that isn't really what I want. This is a car I've wanted for years and I expect to keep it for a long time, so I want to get the exact car I want. Waiting another few months wouldn't be the worst, but I want it as soon as I can.

The wait on a 2011 will be ridiculous! Just find a good deal on a 2010 that's already out there!

OR do like me... get a deluxe GT and modify it to your liking... it's a bit more cost efficient

I'd heard that you could start ordering in January at your Ford Dealers, I am sure the other guys will elaborate more on time frame orders will begin! Why don't you try to find your specific combination in the mustang you want on a lot! I know alot of good deals are on lots right now so they can get the 10's moved and the room for the 11's in! Early summer the 11's will be on the lots!

I'm definitely going to do a dealer search and see if there is something out there that will be close to if not the exact same thing I ordered. I'd definitely get a discount, so I would be fine with that.

Waiting until the summer wouldn't be the worst thing, but I would have rather had a 2010 in a few months. Hopefully I'd be able to get in at the top of the list at my dealer since I missed out on the 2010.

There is no way the stopped making 2010s already.....they would be way short on numbers i would think. Hell they were making other years well into march and april!

I'm surprised as well. I guess they just weren't taking any more orders. I'm sure they're still making 2020s, but they just won't take any more orders.

Looks like I may have procrastinated a little too long. I was planning to order a 2010 GT on Monday.
