Default What info needed for a custom tune?

I ordered my SCT tuner from bresnpeed yesterday (saturday). I assume they will send me the email requesting info from my car on monday. However my wife is taking the car to work on monday. What info will they ask for so I can get it off the car tonight?

Your strategy code, what rear gear ratio you have, tire size, what mods you have, what octane you run and the highest octane gas in you area.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but where do you find the "Calibration Code or Strategy"... and whats the stock gear ratio for an 07 GT?

1. Year, make, model, and transmission type of your vehicle.

2. Processor code.

3. Modifications you have on the vehicle... Need to know if in an emissions state and will need inspection testing. If running offroad exhaust without catalytic converters an emissions friendly tune it is not possible. If you are running aftermarket wheels and tires we will need the revolutions per mile in order to calibrate your speedometer.

4. Octanes - 87,91,93 are standard or you can tell them what you want.

Those are the questions Brenspeed will ask you. I simplified it from their email.

Your gear ratio might be 3.31 or 3.55, as in 2007 the 3.55's became an option.

You'll have to look at the axle code in the drivers side door jam

I just crawled under the rear of my car and it looks like on the gear box it says 3.31 and I have a 5 speed, is that right? Also is the pcm code on a white sticker on the box on the left side of the engine bay. Mine is a 3 letter and one number combo..ex. JUE1? Is that what I need?

That is correct, it's a 3 letter code and 1 number and is unique to your mustang. White sticker is located on the PCM box or the metal support.
