From what I've read it's only meant to hold 360ft. lbs. of torque.

Most people have been getting away with up to 450wtq though. Seems to be pretty stout.

No slipping "yet" with mine, but the real test will come this spring when I hit the track

No more than with the stock clutch; roughly 450 RWHP safely.

The OP wasn't real clear. How much power can what hold? The clutch or the actual transmission?

I'm sure the transmission will give out eventually once you start pushing 500whp. Just a matter of time.

The factory clutch will slip long before the transmissions input shaft will break. You could think of it as a fuse. Upgrade the clutch and more power makes it to the tranny. Tire spin is the next fuse. Fix tirespin and the next weak link will show up, it's usually the input shaft.

The fix for a 3650 is a hardened 26 spline input shaft. Several companies sell transmissions already upgraded. There was a rumor going around last year that Tremec was going to come out with a hardened 10 spline for the 3650 but it hasn't materialized yet. The benefit of a stronger 10 spline would be not having to change the clutch disk vs going to a 26 spline.

Usually the shafts snap at around 500 rwhp. It all depends on how you hook up. Do a google search on the subject and you will see it always happens at the track under wot with sticky tires.

so in stock for the trans is good to about 450rwhp

upgrade the clutch and that is good to 500 rwhp

upgrade the input shaft, what is that good for??
