Alloy 2007 GT with 2010 painted mirros
Here are some pictures of the 2010 mirrors painted to match on my Alloy 2007 GT before i traded it in.... If i remember right it cost me about $300. That price includes the purchase of the mirrors and having the body shop paint and install them. I will more than likely put them on my GT500 once i get the money later this year.

Lol. yes I can. I was quoted right around 200-300 for them as well so I said F that. I can do it for 50 lol.. I had color matched paint from a prior paint job I did ( radiator extensions and two other plastic covers. I just went over and bought some clear coat. I also stopped at Advance auto parts and bought a can of primer / filler , because I didn't need too much to spend $ 49 at SW.
anyways, I gave them a batch, a light sand , a batch again, sprayed it with the primer/ filler which took care of the rough look the plastic has. gave it a light sand again to smooth out everything. cleaned it up with a bit of alcohol. Sprayed adhesion promoter. Loaded my spray gun with paint, and gave it 3 coats of red. ( of course there's waiting time in between coats ) then 3 coats of clear, wet sand and polish.. and it took me 2 days but $ 50 lol

I've seen some painted shells on Ebay that look good and cost a lot less than sanding and painting. These will cover the entire mirror assembly. After debating for a long time, I finally went with the caps instead of the full shells. I think that the black parts of the trim fits well with my black convertible top. The paint cap color is an exact match for the paint of the car. Honestly, you'd never know that these were caps and not original equipment.

I guess I'm insane but I like my flat black mirrors. I like the way they offset the red a little.
Come on guys, you know if they came from the factory in body color, you guys would probably be discussing painting them black LOL.
