No, mines never been bumped, unless it happened in the car lot before I bought it. (stranger things have happened... I found out my passenger headlight on my 99 miata was replaced when new because my buddy found the bolts sitting on the engine when I showed him the car, found additional damage they tried to buff out)

I have looked everywhere and I have found nothing. Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the rear bumper cover? I am sick of dealing with the body shop and want to see if adjusting this is something I can do myself. I will post pics later today of what it looks like. Everything else is great aside from this damn bumper cover not lining up.

I think you and me are having the same issues. I'm on my blackberry, so I can't provide a link, but check out pascal's suggestion in my thread "bodyshop woes in the making?" I have pictures of my bumper cover not aligning in that thread also.

Thanks Alkemist. I have been watching your thread but I think I may have missed his suggestion. I did catch his comment on the seam sealer though. I added that to my list of things to complain about.

He had recommended the tapping of the sheet metal but his post will explain it better. My body shop refused but are oblonging the holes instead.. but maybe something you can work with.

Thanks I will see what can be done. I have about had it with the body shop. I am starting to think they are bigger crooks than the regular dealership.

I know what you mean. They tried to shove me out the door with my rear end all fubar'd. I had to b*tch hard to get them to continue working it. They even refuse to try another OEM bumper. I'm not even sure if they got it aligned right this time. Due to the snow storms, I have not been able to stop by.

Ford carries a 12 month warranty on OEM parts for defects. They should be able to file a claim through Ford. Send the bad bumper back and get you a new one. That is what they did for me when my first bumper came up all warped looking.

Here are the photos of my bumper. Its the best photos I could get given the crappy weather. The best description I can give to what I am seeing is I can run my finger down the quarter panel to the bumper and I can feel it dip in heavily or pop out. Looking at the body lines from a distance you don't really notice and then you get up close and it is like damn thats way off.

Here is one more. I can supply the larger photos if you want but it seems the site resized them to fit the page.
