My ball ended up looking a bit beat up when I was done too. Couldn't care less. I figure if folks are focusing on the condition of the tip of my antennae instead of looking at the rest of the car, then my other mods aren't doing their job.

I assume that is a reflection in your hood . I think a hood lowered in the middle with the grill in the back would make a good design , after seeing your picturs

Just did this mod again for my 08 GT. Made it 12" This time it came out a lot better since I didn't mess up the ball. Sorry no pics, my camera broke and I haven't gotten around to buying another one.

I just unscrewed mine & the radio still had perfect reception (& looked better, i thought)
Then my dad yelled at me to put it back
'cause it looked liked someone broke off the antenna (i don't think so!)
& water could leak in the hole

I did the same thing. I found one on Wish for cheap and .....it doesn't fit, even though the ad said it was for our year.

Did you buy one? Does it fit? I know you can get one for $12.99 from AM but you have to buy $35.00 worth to get free shipping.

No, I did not buy one, not yet. Waiting for some money to come in next week for a bunch a stuff I plan to add.
That one comes with three different adapters for Ford, Chrysler, Chevy, thus also their foreign counterparts.

May even consider a power antenna...
