Default Tire opinion. Riken vs. Sumitomo

Need some help guys. I'm need some new tires and will be doing them 2 at a time (building a house so money is tight). I can get a pair of Sumitomo HTR Z III for $380 out the door, or a pair of Riken Raptor ZR for $316 out the door. What would you do? Are the Rikens decent tires? They seem to get ok reviews. Keep in mind that I'm coming from a set of Nexen N3000 which are terrible.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

The rikens are made by Michelin and get pretty good reviews. I am surprised they are that much actually? what size you getting?

They are 255/45/18. Think I should haggle a bit more? Those prices include mount/balance tax and all.

yeah i guess its not bad really....summit has them for 130 each plus shipping ($30 i think)

I was looking at then in a smaller size and i think they were like 95 each or so.

i would say you are getting a good deal

Sweet. Thanks for the help. I just didn't want to grab the Falkens if the Sumos were WAY better tires.

I had the Sumitomo before and they were gone by the time I got out of my neighborhood...
If the Rikens are made by Michelin like Matt said, then they can't be worse.
I say go with those.
