About 15 seconds after I start the car, I get a loud popping sound coming from the driver side engine compartment. I can feel it a little by my feet as well. Sounds almost like someone threw a tennis ball at my fender. I happens once, and that's it. No trouble codes, drives fine. What could it be?

is it while you are driving or are you parked the whole time? was the radio or ac on? stand outside of your car after you start it with the hood is open. better yet have someone else stand outside of your car. find out where it is coming from and see if it is louder outside of your car than inside.

I have the same problem but it only happens occasionally so I haven't been able to pinpoint it. You can definitely feel it through the brake pedal and I've only noticed it at idle soon after the car is turned on. It could be the clutch engaging on the a/c compressor.

yeah it only happens sometimes. I'll see if it has to do with wether i have the HVAC on at the time. Thanks!

I got this for the first time today and it was just after starting the car up.....my girlfriend in the passenger seat also noticed it so i know i am not crazy.

i notice the same thing, but its only on cold starts and mines an auto

I had this happen once when I first got the car. Hasn't happened in at least 2 years. No idea.
