Wusses... the whole lot of ya'!

My GT was back at the dealership 4 times during warranty and the CAI & tune NEVER came off. Never a problem. Unless you enjoy being intimidated by the dealer, of course.

Yeah, OT but that "warranty" chit really trips something...

I've got 59,000 miles so my extended warranty is almost up. I'll have to go look at my warranty again. I think it says 5 years or 75,000 miles, which ever comes first. I haven't taken my car back to stock for a dealer. But, then again, I've only made a few trips to the dealer. I really don't trust them that much. As far as rev matching on downshift, I do that. I live in a mountainous area and drift down a lot of hills. So, I rev match or overmatch when I start going back up the hills I just came down from.

MustangMaster... Just keep the tuner you have, call Brenspeed, buy the FRPP CAI and have them redo your tunes..... This is what I did and it fixed all of the issues I was having with the engine on startup, with performance and everything..... The only performance mods I have are 3:73 gears, GTA axlebacks, FRPP CAI, and Brenspeed 91 Tune. I had the Stang in the dealership last week to help me pull out 2 broken spark plugs and when I came to get the car, the Service Tech said... Who is tuning your car cuz this was the fastest stock looking mustang GT the mechanic had ever worked on....

Nice.......

SteveB, do you ever run the 87 tune? Is that smooth too? Which gives you better MPG? I'm sure a 91 or 93 tune will give the most power. I don't even have to ask that.

I run the 87 tune most of the time. Better MPG. With the 91-93 tune I get around 19. With the 87 I get 22+ and it isn't as "Jumpy" on the throttle. Nice and smooth.

+1 on calling brenspeed to rewrite the tunes. The roads suck here and when taking off in 1st, the tiniest bump would cause the car to start bucking like someone was driving a manual for the first time. Throttle response was abit to touchy. I tried to work with it for about a month, learned where the bumps were that upset the car (my foot on the accelerator) and avoided them. But it seemed like 1st gear was almost unusable. Called brenspeed and told them my issue, they had new tunes the next day. And they are spot on!! Love driving it again. No way would I go back to stock.
