Default Dan Gurney Hood?

Hey everyone! I'm thinking of getting this hood and cutting a hole in it for a Super Shaker.

It looks like the Foose hood. It's definitely more affordable than the Foose hood. What do you think? Should I get it?

P.S. I'm not actually going to buy the one on Ebay but rather from another place that has them for $250. The Ebay link just has better pictures.

If you like the style of it, at $250 I certainly don't see why you wouldn't pick it up.

i think that would look pretty bitchin, and i think ive seen the exact sorta hood look your going for. but you might want to check for clearance, im not sure if that might block the super shaker a tiny bit.

i think thats generally what your going for right? if thats what your looking for then look at some google images of boss mustangs.

im suprised its aluminum rather then fiberglass though. i think as long as the clearance of the shaker is good it should look sick!

Yep! Like Pascals hood.

Right now I'm undecided if I'll be leaving the hood all white or painting most of it black like this...

...or painting just the "stinger" section kind of like this...

I think the Foose hood comes with an option for a shaker cutout already.

Anyhow, I think the "Stinger" part of the hood would look pretty good painted black.

I think the hood looks great with the shaker on pascals ride, gives it a little more of the retro look without looking overdone, although I thought the CS fascia looked better on his car......of course, I am a little biased since I have that fascia (sorry Pascal...your car still looks great). I think it would go perfectly with your car.

I think the problem will be when you cut the hole, you will need a trim ring for the opening or a good bit of body work to finishes the edges? Maybe the trim ring for a stock hood could be made to work? The 69 style hood from CDC for the shaker looks to have the edges of the hole for theh shaker "rolled" so it doesn't need the trim ring? Also, if you don't mind, who is selling them that cheap? I would be interested?

def just the stinger, it would look badass leading up to the shaker, one problem i see with black is that sometimes you cant see details, and if you had the majority painted black then at a quick glance you might not even see the shaker, it might blend in with the hood

not sure just the stinger will look right if you are in fact adding the Shaker because the shaker will obviously be wider than the stinger and be black..along with the black trim ring...might not look right
