Help, I'm cold!!!

Ok so here's the deal: A few months back my fan stopped working correctly. It would still regulate between hot and cold properly, but there was no difference between 1 and 4 on the fan level (always a one). So I had a small auto shop take a look at it and they said that it was probably the blower motor resistor (fan is called the blower, lol wish i had a real blower :-( ). I headed to Ford and picked up a new one for about $20. After I replaced the resistor: FAIL. No change at all, still about a 1 on the fan intensity scale. Sooo I dealt with it a few months and now that it's usually 20 degrees when I get in my car in the morning I figured that I should go ahead and buy a new blower motor. I ordered one from 1Aauto (excellent price, and quick free shipping, i recommend them). Installed the new motor and now my fan is at a constant 2/3.... it's better than before, but i want to be able to adjust it so I i can pick how hard i want it to blow (especially on a 4 when i'm freezing at 5:30 am). Does anyone have any suggestions???

My Escort did that to me after an unfortunate accident involving a 32oz Dr Pepper and my center stack. I never bothered to pull it out and check it with a meter on that car, but it could well be the switch that's bad.

My fans work correctly, but my car takes forever to heat up the interior. Anyone else? The air is hot coming out of the fans, but it just takes a lot longer than any of my other cars. sometimes almost 15 mins.

That is because the aluminum engine block runs cold for awhile.

Sorry for the hijack.
