Default Procrastination is always a bad idea... lesson learned i guess

Ive had a nail in my tire for about a week but with school and work both about full time i havent had much of a chance to fix it. The two chances i did have i didnt because of crappy weather. Ive just added air everyday to keep it good. Today the nail came out and i rode home on a completly flat tire without noticing... Now i need a new tire.

How much is a new stock tire? If its more then $150 or so ill probably just get some 18" rims and tires since all my other tires are getting low on tread anyways...

What kinda of rim and tire packages can be had for under $1000?

ya, stock tires are no more then 100 about, but seriously dude i think youd have a tough time finding a wheel and tire combo for less then 1k, my tires alone were around 700... if i recall?

cheapy tires like Kumho and Falken and Fusion will allow you to get your goal. You can get some decently sized Kumho ESCPT (okay tire) for about $105-130 a tire. And 17/18" bullitt rims go for $250-400 all the time on ebay.

I think you could easily get your goal of 18" bullitt's and new rubber for under $1k. But if you are going to run "good" tires...that $1,000 will barely cover the rubber

edit: or you could step up to wicked GT500 rims and pretty sticky rubber for $1,500

Shadow7874, I may be interested in your current rims for my Mustang. I live in Augusta. If you decide on new rims for yourself, this will give you extra money to get them. Send me some pics of you current rims.

Breeenspeed does sell those but go to New Parts Takeoff FYI. Also I am selling a set of 18" Chrome Bullits with tires (they have about 5000 miles left and are worn evenly). I am putting on 20" Roush stockers.

if you're interested, I have a brand new set of GT500 stock rims with the stock Goodyear F1 tires on them for sale. They probably have less than 300 miles on them and they still even have the TPMS sensors in them. since we are both in Georgia, you wouldn't have pay any shipping. will definitely sell for less than $1000.

PM me if you're interested.
