is it worth to trade in?

I can understand wanting to trade it in if it has frame damage but unless its paid off (I bet most 09's are not) I would wait another year or so.
Why? If the car has frame damage, you are going to get hosed on the trade in. So your prob gonna be upside down in the car.
Add that to the fact that the dealers are prob not going to haggle on an '11 you can find your self seriously overpaying for a car.
If you wait a year or so (I know that can be hard) you may find yourself in a much better situation with the loan being paid down and dealers more willing to haggle with you.

20k for an '09 with frame damage? thats pretty amazing... however I would trade it if I were you... you just bought an 09 and now getting the 2011... save your money supercharge it do a few more things and you will run circles around the 2011 5.0
edit: and if you don't care about power... if you really want the new body style why not buy either the 2011 V6 or the 2010 GT both have more than enough power... and have the new body style... obviously if you want the 5.0 you care somewhat about power.

I was suggesting this as You dont seem to care about power, so why not get a 10 with a proven engine and the same body style as the 11, and then trade later on down the road once the 5.0 has all its bugs worked out. I doubt a dealer will give you the same 6 months from now when you can actually get a 5.0 for sure.

I was thinking of trading in my '10 GT for an '11 GT for many reasons. But the numbers don't work out for me. My '10 GT MSRP was $35,800. The loan amount right now is $28,000. On a trade the most I could get is $26,000. A new '11 GT with all the options I want is $35,000. So needless to say it doesn't work out for me. The only possible way is to sell it privately for around $29,000. Then I might be able swing a new loan.
Some say wait until '12 because of the doubts of the 5.0 reliability. But I would not worry about that after reading the huge article on the 5.0 in 5.0 Mustang magazine and having faith in Ford's team.
