probably something like that. I think my cost estimate is $3000 for cams/springs/intake manifold and hoping to get around 60 hp or more for them

It should only cost him what, $1000 to get hot rods and install them?

Sure it's a lot to pay for the gains. Same goes for headers if you buy the expensive stuff.

I thought that I would get a better deal on the install if I had it done at one time.

Add another Grand to your $3000 and Mr. Vortech will put you at 430/450hp at the wheels with 10lbs of boost.

$3000 for 60 horses is insane...

Very but any boost is a ticking time bomb on your stock shortblock.

Where in GA are you?

I intend to go with the HP Performance single turbo kit. $4500ish.

Pretty good actually and you can really pack it up all the way to 16lbs.

Most blowers are reliable but the 4.6 internals will quit before you have blower issues.
Also, most people prefer the twin screw type because of the cool factor and the low end torque.

Augusta iDance, also there was a guy in the club who blew his motor with the whipple. Ford said he reved it too high or something along that line.

All you have to do is decide what the car is worth to you. Believe me, this advice is coming from a guy who modded two Harleys over the past ten years. And let me tell you, no matter what you spend on that car, supercharger, wheels, exhaust, tranny etc, you will never get more than bluebook unless you happen to find that right buyer which is like winning the lottery. When you do mod your car my advice is to keep every original part like wheels, cams intake etc so when you do decide to sell the car you can return it to bone stock and sell your accessories seperately for a whole lot more than you'd get for them by selling them with the car.
