Very true, and I have already started to keep everything. I guess you could say that my mother went and bought a 2010 and they paid her 2006 off, which was around 20,000. I am very happen with my 2010 and dont for see any change in the future (car wise). Which is why I am deciding to mod it for power.

So true.
A modded car for sale should always be displayed at car shows and cruises.
If done tastefully, you'll find a buyer with a hard on for it a whole lot easier than the classifieds for example.

My OEM parts are long gone but I'm in the body shop business so I could always get my hands on some cheap original parts.
I also don't plan to sell that car anyway so it will be driven to the ground eventually.

Hey Pascal, fess up, you don't have a kitchen pass to get rid of that car. Man I gotta get over to Orlando some time soon as I haven't seen it since you put the GT500 front end on it.

To the OP what gears do you currently have? If you plan on going forced induction it is better to stay with the 3.31s or the 3.55s. Also if you have the 3.55s then going to a 3.73 won't give you much.

$3000 for 60 horses is insane...
on the flip side if u purchase a blower ur still running in the 12s on a 1/4 mile which i think is very disappointing considering the amount of money being thrown at a supercharger. i personally think u are better off with 410, suspension, tires and appearance mods. but thats me. oh and not to mention these motors cant handle a supercharger and constantly drivin hard. supercharging is insane unless u upgrade ur internals of the engine

Only cost effective mod in that list is the 3.73 gear. The rest? Eh, I'd pass.

If you're thinking cost effectiveness there really aren't that many cheap mods with great gains for these cars.

$3000? I think you are better off looking in the classifieds, plenty of superchargers/turbos going for $3k. I was going to do stage 3 cams with PP heads, but after looking at the cost/benefit i decided to just buy a used supercharger from the forums. People say that your internals will break and what not, but why will they? Because you are going to be pushing a lot more power than the mods you mention. The reason why ur motor will be ok with the mods you mention is because they wont make that much power....

for $3,700 Brenspeed guarantees 420 RWHP on a 2005-2009 Mustang. I'd talk to them and see what they offer for your 2010...which is essentially the same thing as a 05-10 model.

otherwise, from your list I suggest you only play with the gears and short throw...and get some custom tuning. run you about $1,100 for those three ($500 gears/labor, $250 short throw, $350 ish tuner)

those 3 simple easy mods will make your car feel like a whole different beast

and if you don't plan on ever going with a blower...I highly suggest 4.10 gears for some serious fun factor at lower speeds. I have 3.73 in my car and I am having alot of fun...and that is with moderately sticky 275 width rubber out back

hardly...with good tuning, the 4.6 3v and 5.4 3v can handle 8-10 psi of boost all day long for many years of reliable service.

I know many many guys who've been running boosted since 2005 without any issues.

blanket statements like yours are wrong. any number of factors will cause a motor to blow or die some other premature death. the most common denominator is tuning and people driving like a bat out of hell on a cold block.

If you have the money to do a blower now do it. If you dont do bolt ons little by little there fun also. Always take in consideration your future mods with your current ones dont get non FI cams or 4.10s if you plan on a blower later. Dont waste your money on shortys, long tubes are the way to go. intake,tune,cmdp,4.10s,udp with a good tire and driver mod will get you the 12s.
10lbs is pushing it on a stock block. 8 lbs would be safer. You can always buy a non cooled system and add the heat-exchanger later with a tune for it.
