Am I getting old...or just crazy?

There's something for all ages in this thread. I've enjoyed reading it.
From someone mentioning you're going through a 1/3rd life crisis, to "A man's got to know his limitations" ... damn good (and humorous) things to hear.
At my age (older than 30, younger than 80) I still lust after that 'pinned to the seat of your pants' feeling. And honestly, I hope it never leaves me (hence the large spread on my age range.)
But I've grown up enough to know that cars, driven in the wrong manner, are lethal weapons.
You're may be just coming to grips with this fact. Well, you already knew this, but it's gnawing around in your thoughts more often these days, for whatever reason.
I forget when it hit me; but after a few close calls, or seeing other folks wreck themselves and their rides -- maybe a bulb lit up inside my noggin.
It's a different age for everyone; some don't see the bulb light up until they've totalled their car, maimed another human being, or themselves. Good for you it's happening before all this ungodly crap.

I spent my 40 birthday last year getting major spinal surgery. All I practically thought about for 3 months was what mod I'd buy myself for the Mustang for my birthday!
Buy and use a Bowflex...You'll feel 20 again...then go buy the mods

just go have more fun with it, get the adrenaline pumping. one time i "may" have been going 95 on surface steets, (Not admitting to it) and i hit the bow in the road through an innersection and got airtime! i knew it cause when i hit the ground the tires screeched. i wouldnt advise that again. but it def got the adrenaline pumping!

I am 68 and love the Mustang in every form. They have always needed traction upgrades from the showroom floor to handle what they really will do.
First go get your 400+ horses
Then get the suspension upgraded for grip.
Then really good tires. If the tires are grippin` your not slippin`
Then..... make sure the power applied from the throttle comes on smoothly and gently at first so you have total control, getting only what you want when you want it.
Now, go have a ball with a properly set up car that you are in control of.
