Default Correction - 2006 GT V8 runs out of fuel at 1/2 tamk

I have a 2006 V8 GT stick that runs out of fuel but only takes about 8 gallons to fill. So, I ran it till it quit and took a two gallon tank with me. It started right up and then i drove to a gas station and it would only take 6 gallons - again about 8 gallons.

Do these cars have more than one tank and/or a crossover pipe/hose?

Other reasons (pickup in tank, etc) that are common issues?

Thanks!

PS: I inadvertently posted as a 2009 instead of a 2006

yes they are saddle tanks with a crossover
tube. the passenger side is used first, then
the driver side.

for some reason the fuel pump is not accessing the
fuel on the passenger side.

Definitely sounds like something is stuck in the crossover tube or the fuel pump isn't pushing enough pressure to access the other tank.
