Detailing you car

I used Mothers & Meguiers for years, & I still use some of their tire & interior products. Good stuff, probably the best over-the-counter products available. But for paint, a few years ago I graduated to Poorboy's World products. Much deeper &/or wetter shines than with over-the-counter stuff. When I'm getting my cars ready for show season, I'll start off by claying. Gets all the impurities out of the paint. (Proper paint prep is the most important part of detailing) After claying I polish. That's where the PC (Porter Cable) & a good set of pads comes in. If you've got some swirling you'll want to use a good swirl remover with a PC before you polish. Poorboys has SSR1, 2, 2.5, & 3. Always use the least abrasive product necessary to get the swirls out. Next step is a good glaze, like Poorboys Black Hole. It's optional, but I like how it brings out the color. Then I apply sealant. Poorboy's EX Sealant with Carnauba is what I use on my black cars. After sealant, I start layering on Natty's Blue or Red wax. A coat a day for 5 days or so & I'm ready for show season!

Yeah it is expensive. I've never spent more than $10 on wax before but from the research I've done its worth it. The wet obsession is $50 and the Pinnacle Souveran is $95. Dont know and cant find the differences between the two. I cant see a $50 difference in wax, can someone please explain the differences in the two that would justify double the price.

There are definitely differences in waxes, even high end waxes. I prefer carnauba waxes to any of the new synthetic ones. Synthetic waxes are longer lasting, but just don't shine like a good carnauba. Personally, I wouldn't spend the $$ for Pinnacle or Wolfgang. They're excellent products, but they're very pricey. Poorboy's makes 3 waxes, Natty's White, Blue, & Red that, when combined with a sealant, provide incredible depth & wetness. Natty's White is formulated for, & works best on lighter cars. I use it on my wife's white Expedition. Natty's Blue gives excellent depth. I use it on my Black 09 GT. Natty's Red gives great brightness. I use it on my torch red 03 Mach. Here's a link to where I buy my detailing products: http://www.autogeek.net/poorboysworld.html. Good info on Poorboy's.
Here's some pics of cars I've detailed:

I hate to sound like a Poorboy's ad (& I don't get any kickbacks or anything like that), but I've been detailing cars since the 1970's, & I've never found any detailing products that compare to Poorboys that don't cost an arm & a leg.

I have used Zanio and i liked the results. I liked how it gave my black car a mirror finish and really thats what i was looking for. I was hoping that someone thought i had a glass roof when i really didnt. steps i took were:
washed car with dawn sopa
clayed then washed with normal car soap
3 coats of Z5
3 coats of Z2
