Start the 8 million page thread of what products are better and why...

Personally I use Mothers and Meguiars stuff as far as products go.

Claybar is an awesome thing to have, especially to get anything out of the clear coat.

Make sure of have lots of clean microfiber towels.

Lexol for cleaning/conditioning leather.

I hate anything Armor-All, in my opinion worst products for car care.

Whatever you use, get a Porter-Cable 7424XP and some good pads. Check properautocare.com or autopia.org. Great info at both.

Interior I use turtle wax leather cleaner and conditioner. Cleans dash and seats and doesnt leave a nasty greasy residue like armorall. On my tint and all interior plastics I use Plexus.

Outside I wash with a car wash soap and dry. I havent had to clay yet. I am getting ready to buy good wax, either wet obsession or pinnacle. I am going to use a paint sealer and then wax. I hope this gives me the results I am looking for.

its hard to beat some meguires products, but those that do, are mothers.

the finishing waxes by mothers are some of the best in the world.

I would clay it before you wax. Its amazing how much **** is on your car that you never notice until it is gone.

I heard pinnacle is awesome stuff, but its pretty spendy isnt it?

I used it years ago and it can be used as step 1 of their 3-step. It is similar to the Mothers Pre-Wax Cleaner which is what I have used for years when I do a 3-step. I follow it with Mothers Sealer & Glaze and the Mothers Pure Carnauba Wax paste.

The cleaner will help remove mild oxidation and clean the surface. It's a different type of cleaning than clay, but you should still clay first to remove any stuck-on contaminants.

If your paint is a bit neglected, the cleaner will help spruce it up whether you use the next 2 steps in the system, or if you simply use a cleaner wax combo afterwards.

The 3-step systems are great for darker colored cars, or cars with visible spiderwebbing. They're easy to do by hand, but a bit of a project, so do part of the car at a time if you can't do it all at once.
