Seriously though, I'm not a real Lord of the Rings fan. Sorry to disappoint.

Microsoft just makes the OS that SYNC runs on. We (Ford) write the code that tells it how to interact with our ACMs and other modules, as well as the interface and such.

But nevertheless, I'm curious to see how this turns out as well. I'm also curious how well they reverse engineered SYNC, and how well the harness works with it. Please keep us posted!

Yeah...and then you have Steve Jobs in your car telling you what you can and cannot do with it. Listen, you can't even change the background on your iPhone or iPod Touch without jailbreaking it...half the good programs you can't get normally because Apple denies it through a completely ridiculous and non-standard process of determining which apps get "approved".

Sorry, i dont want anything Apple being integrated into any of my car's systems. The iPod is fine for what it is, but thats pretty much the only product I will ever buy from them.

And don't even get me started about the cost of Apple products...

But I digress from the topic...it would be good to know when something aftermarket works properly with Sync...

I had an Apple computer back in the 80's and never went back after I changed to an IBM clone. They were the same proprietary lunatics back then that they are now. I like choices, not limitations. Jobs is a megalomaniac.

Yeah...i refuse to buy just about anything from Apple...except the iPod which i do like a lot...but dealing with iTunes makes me want to change my mind about that...

I TOTALLY AGREE. I love my iPod but iTunes sucks. I don't own anything from Apple except the iPod. Then you have the new iPad - Give me a break. It is a huge iPhone.....

This is a little old but still funny as hell iRack

and this one:

iPhone

That was funny. I never saw those. It's too bad they canceled MAD TV. I always thought they were way funnier than SNL. I used to watch it all the time till my schedule changed and couldn't stay up that late without falling asleep.
