HELP: 2009 GT vs 2009 GT Premium
Hello,
My name is Stefan and I am planning on buying a 2009 Ford Mustang GT and I need a little help with making my decision.
I'm using the website cars.com to browse through the various cars available for sale and I'm a little confused if I should buy the GT or the GT Premium. I understand that the Premium version has some "extra features" such as better sound system, heated seats and so forth. If for example I buy the GT and I decide to upgrade some of these features later on will I be able to? Or are the options available on the GT Premium ONLY AVAILABLE if you have a Premium model? Maybe it has something to do with the car's structure or something like that etc...
There really are two things that I REALLY want and not negotiable. I REALLY want a glass top and I want to be able to change the front of the car to look like a 2010 GT Shelby. If I don't buy the GT Premium will I have problems installing these 2 features?
Thank you very much in advance for your help!
Stefan

you'll end up spending more buying a regular gt and installing the glass roof then buying the premium gt with the glass roof. I think there are still some new 09gts on the lots, I got mine about 6 months ago (new for 27k, sticker was 34k). Mine is a premium with the glass roof. If you want new, there are probably only premiums left anyway.
If you want used, def. get the glass roof so that you don't end up with problems with leaks and squeeks. Plus, if you spend an extra $2000 for the premium (used) then youll get all the extra creature comforts you want, vs getting the deluxe GT that you'll end up spending 5k getting the roof installed and still not have leather seats, a shaker stereo, etc..
