I wouldn't think american muscle would sell the slp line lock for the 05-06 gt if it would be a problem with the abs or tc. slp's ad say's it is desighned for the gt with abs and tc, but then again maybe i am missing something here. guy's give some more feed back on this..

Good choice.

A single solenoid placed in line before the ABS box confuses the ABS into thinking the front brakes are locked up when they shouldn't be. A couple of people had ABS issues when using a single solenoid kit on early '05s. I haven't heard of any problems recently, but better safe than sorry. As for TC, it's not an issue unless you forget to turn it off.

So, if I were to be looking at getting a line lock kit, what would I need to buy and from where? (I need to know everything from switches etc)

I have a hurst shifter with trigger button.... would that be worth while, or too dangerous to hit the brakes on? I have no idea how these work!

Thanks for helping out an idiot!!

Here's a good article that outlines the install of the PMP kit using Jeg solenoids. http://www.stangnet.com/2008/02/25/s...k-kit-install/

I just installed the SLP type kit - no problems with my brakes and an easy install with only the one solenoid and having to remove the one line between the ABS controller and the master. If you buy the kit it should have everything you need for the install except for the brake fluid that you will have to replace while you bleed the brake system and lose while you are taking things apart.

Since I knew I was going to do this job, and had 100,000 miles on the brake fluid, I had Ford do a complete system flush before hand so that I had all fresh fluid in the entire system including the ABS. Then just had to bleed the system like any other brake job.
