Really? All I can find is $2K back. How do you get the $5K? I might go buy another one! LOL

The truecar site shows average prices paid for a $34K GT in my area is 29,200.

29 is a good bench mark. Im really really really stuck right now. I love the 5.0, But Theres a dealer here that will let go of the perfect color combo mustang gt premium with the accessory packedge, comfort, security, HIDs, and trac pack, a sticker of around 36k, and they will let it go for 29k, I have 9500 to put down and can get 0% for 36 months. That deal just seems way to good to let go, but the 5.0 also seems good, But theres alot of questions up in air about it.

Or you could put 3,000 down and buy a supercharger that will put you above what the 5.0 and the Camaro SS are putting down. Just saying.

a 3k super charger...? Must be made out of cheese and string. Cheapest one around here is 6 or 7k. and it only adds 85 hp. on a 5.0 I could do the same and be above a gt500. kinda see what im getting at here. People say that its stupid to buy a 10 with the 11 just around the corner when it only costs 1000 dollars more, when in reality, theres going to be no incentives for it so it costs about 6-7k more. The price of a super charger. So you can have a Nat aspirated 5.0, or a super charged 4.6

They are $4-5,000. Not 6-7k. That would be a overpriced.

I got my 2010 for $22,500.

before i bought mine i was on autotrader every day. i found some pretty good deals at dealerships and private sellers. fully loaded with 5k miles. i was in the same boat 2010 or wait for the the 2011. with all the rebates and military discounts it was a no brainer. one other reason i didnt buy through auto trader is couldnt find a used track pack for sale, and thats what i purchaced, look around and make offers. whats the worst that can happen.

Ummm, I think he meant to put $3000 down on the 2010(of the $9500 you have to spend) and use the remainder to purchase a supercharger. Just trying to help, hope I don't sound like a smart-***

So I talked to the salesman about this car today after I met with him on Saturday. He tried to give me the BS about an x plan being my best possible option. I told him that we couldn't even continue this conversation unless they took 5k right off the top of the sticker. He gave me a flustered respond then said he would talk to his manager and call me back. Needless to say, he said we could start at 5k off and work from there. That puts me at just under 30k so far with me going in tomorrow to talk about my trade. I wonder how much farther I can push them to make I deal? They know I know they will take a bath on them in about a month and a half so I think I'll work on another 2-3k tomorrow..

thanks for that, I messed that up. Only problem with that is my monthy payments would shoot up a bit. I would rather pay cash for an SC later on. Or wait for a 5.0 arg.LoL

Dont be afraid to just say no and walk away if they start to BS you. If they really want to make the deal they will call you, sometimes even the same day, or even stop you on your way out the door. The way I did it once was they came back and said "this is the best we can do" I get up and say "well thanks for your time" and just walk out.
