Default Rear view mirror dimmer

How can I stop the rear view mirror's night dimming effect?
Thanks
JE

don't think there is a way other than buying a new mirror... the new mirrors on the 2011 may have the option to turn that off since it will also have homelink...

I am going to be buying me a rear-view mirror with the home-link...provided it is compatible with Sync

Put something over the sensors in the front of the mirror or you could find out which wire is for the sensor and de-pin it from the plug.

I'll look at the 2011 mirror too for my 2010...sure wish homelink had been standard on my GT!

When I ordered my car in April of '09 it said it had the Home-Link mirror, but then when the car came in they said the Sync had the microphone in mirror and it was not Home-link compatible

I thought the sync mics were those two funny looking things (that look like mics) on the over head lights

Just go into the forum section where you want the thread to be (if here, then it would be 2010-2011 Mustang Technical Discussions), scroll down past the current threads, and click the "New Thread" button along the left side of your screen.

I believe those are sensors for the active security system.
