Which just proves that if it can happen in sunny Florida, then multiply the chances about 100 - 1000 times in snow and ice.

trust me it doesnt matter how well YOU think you can drive either. Tonight on the way home from work a car went off the road in front of me and i have to pull it out with my truck. Then coming into my apt complex another car locked them up and ran thru onto a hill. they didnt get stuck but still you get my point.

Also traction control will not save your *** on snow/ice.....once you have lost it you are pretty much along for the ride. You can kinda control it but its luck more than anything

The bitch that blasted him was so drunk, not even funny.

But I agree with you and Matt...

Also, youngsters really think the traction control device is like a Joker card. Yeah right, lol

I know not to trust Ford's traction control. It is probably one of the most primative systems out there. I can spin the tires all the way through first gear and start to shift into second before the car figures out that the tires are spinning.

If you are driving on snow and ice turn the traction control off while in town and turn it on when on the highway. I have driven almost 20 different cars in the 19 years that I have been driving and don't find my 300hp Mustang is any worse than any other vehicle. I have had numerous rear wheel and front wheel drives and the only car I put in the ditch was a VW fwd POS!!
When I bought my mustang I didn't have enough money to buy another vehicle(the same reason mine is still near stock) so was forced to drive it or walk 40miles to work every day. Up here you see as many sports cars on the road during winter as during summer, the only difference is the old ones are parked for the winter but we get more winter than probably most of the states here in Alberta!!
