hmmmm, after seeing everybody say theyr fine without it, (me being one of them), now im curious exactly what the point of it is in the first place. the only thing that it does for my dads camaro is act as additional nesting for rats that live in his engine bay...

I think the primary purpose is sound deadening material.

I'm removing mine. The liner has rubbed against the plenum cover and my CAI. I'd hate to have this rub against the supercharger.
