seems steep, why not try for a GT500 instead? they are going for about $5k more than that

I know it's not an answer to your question but since you already have a white Roush, why not throw a SC on it?
How many miles are on yours?

If I remember, those 427s were way overpriced when new... like $60K or better.
So $29K seems fair but not great...

This was the cheapest 427R I could find through a quick search on Cars.com

Antonio - thats just it, the gt500s are 5k more....i dont have 5k more lol....plus i love the roush's body and this car is the total package with everything i could want on it....

Pascal - ya the guy paid $50k for it 2 years ago...i want this car instead od s/c'ing mine because this car is the total package...it has the looks, its a manual tranny, its got the suspension and the brakes to go with all of that power......my car has 57k miles on it and its an auto....

East - that link pull up a page with no values inserted, no car....

i couldnt find any other 427's in florida that had what i wanted AND affordable except this one.......this one is among the cheapest ive seen...most are like 33k-36k still......

Seems to be a pretty realistic price for it(actually, it's on the low side, meaning the owner is desperate to sell it). Offer him $27,500 & see what he says, never hurts to ask. If the owner sees you're a fellow Roush owner, he might negotiate with you better. You never know unless you ask. Sweet 427R btw Best of luck!

ty...i actually did try some negotiations today with some lower numbers around the 25-26k area and, in a nice way, he said it was out of the question to sell it for less than he owes on it...he expressed that 29k was his rock bottom take it or leave it price (not in those particular words though)....he jsut said he cant go any lower than $29k...i know he needs to sell it badly but its definately credible that he may in fact still owe just under $30k for it....

+1...that's the number I was thinking of too.
If he doesn't accept it, I would negotiate from this number.

Sounds like you are pretty set on the car, everyone agrees that the price is good.
Buy before he sells it.
I lost out on a great deal on an 04 Cobra, trying to get the price down a couple grand.
When the deal on my GT500 came along, there was no discussion,no second thoughts.
I bought it,took it home that evening.

well today when we first started negotiating the price, i threw 25k out there and the tone if his voice sounded like he was thinking "this guys a joke" but he was still nice about it...i said that is was a starting point for negotiations and then he went on about not selling for less than he owes......

an expert in negotiations i am not lololol
