I noticed i have the problem if I try just opening the trunk with-out unlocking the car first. If I un-lock the car then hit the trunk button I don't have the problem...

The only issue I've had with the key fob is that it takes a little more pressure on the buttons than, for example, my wife's Camry. Sometimes it takes more than one press to actually apply enough force on the button. It happens less now that I've gotten in the habit of using my thumbnail.
