Default please help a nut with hotrod cams!

car runs great with cams, but it seems to be more noise coming from under cam covers. i also had the ford racing chrome cam covers put on at the same time, is the new covers thinner or the cams just make more noise. instead of enjoying the new music out the tail pipes, my crazy azz just hears ticking under the hood.

I think what your hearing is probably injector solenoid noise. Did you get your tune and cams from Brenspeed? Congrats on the cams. They are a nice mod.

if there was an issue in the valve train
before the cam swap, i think it's very
likely to be exacerbated by the slightly
higher valve lifting hot rods.

probably something you'll just want to get
used to.

When you did the cam swap, did you upgrade the valve springs ?

Per FRPP on these cams there is no need for a valve spring upgrade nor phaser lockouts.

timmbo, it was dyno tuned by the installer. they are a nice mod, but alot of mental adjustment. for some reason when i shut the car off i have to push in clutch, if i dont it makes noise.

The noise you may be hearing then is a faint clack-clack coming from the throwout bearing. The Hot Rod cams will exacerbate that. Then when you shut off the engine in neutral, foot off the clutch it may make a final clack noise before coming to rest. Is that what your hearing?
