Default Vibration with Spydershaft

I have bad vibration approaching 120 mph and gets much worse from there. Should I get it balanced or should I go with Shaftmasters?

If you want to just throw money at it then get a new driveshaft.

If you want to try and troubleshoot it then do so.

If you get a shaftmasters you may need to reinstall your stock pinion flange.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Should be easy though.

It's rare I go that fast, but it's nice to be able to if ever needed. Last year on the Hotrod Power Tour I had a corvette messing with me on the highway and I couldn't stay with him, because of the vibrations.

I wonder whether these vibrations are caused by an imbalance in the driveshaft itself or if there is a problem with the flange it came with or the install of the flange.

I assume you've tried the rotating the driveshaft fix for the problem? Some people have found that took care of things and it wouldn't require you to remove the flange.

Seen it before with the cut down Ranger shafts, most likely caused by excessive runout. You should take it to a driveshaft repair shop and have it checked out. I found a post that had before and after videos of one.
