2008 vs 2010

Everyone agrees that ford f'd up the 2010's? I think people have different opinions, most will agree they like the front and side profiles and the rear end of the car needs a little work. I personally love my 2010 and think its an entire package. But for you to say the 2010's were a **** up by ford I think is incorrect and most people will not agree with that statement. Maybe if you said they messed up the rear end you would have more support.

here's my 2 cents....
Ford has been making Mustangs for over 45 years. I think it was wonderful, and they did do a wonderful job of bringing back the retro look in the 05-09's, though it took me a year or 2 to get use to them, because when they first came out, the rear ends (rear window slant and sides included, reminded me of a Nissan 280Z from the 70's or something like that. I love my 08 and won't trade it in for anything.
The '05-09's do look good, but they just aren't as sleek as other fast sports cars, ie 350Z's, Porches, just not enough curves in the '05-09's imo , The curves just arent at the front of the line as far as being totally modern.
As far as the '10's go. They ARE definately a step or 2 away from the '05-09's, but Ford needed to do that. it's not as much a change as I thought they were going to make but Ford really needed to do something radical like changing the rear ends like they did to bring the Mustang into this decade.
Now, back to my point
Look at the Camaro, they stopped production in what, 2002/3? Came back 7 years later with a complete redesign, which was totally expected. I think the Camaro looked pretty good in '02 and I think it looks bad *** in '10.
If Ford stopped making Mustangs at some point in the past, say, '02/03 and then came out with the '10's as they currently are. I guarantee people would say the exact same thing about the Mustang as they did with the new Camaro's. or even the '05-09's. There were people skeptical about the S197 when it first came out, including myself, but it is a great looking car, just like the '10's are.
So imagine the '05-09's never existed. Would those people who own '05-09's, who are also dissing the '10's, not buy a '10 if they didn't have their '05-09's? I doubt it, Sure they will complain about something, we all have something we don't like about our cars, but I guarantee they would have gotten the '10 when it came out just like they got their current mustang.
Just my little rant

I'd rather ford just re-release the 67 fastback exactly as it was then but with the new 5.0 engine and call it a day. I hate modern styling anyway (and most modern things for that matter, lol).

i think we all agree with that, but then the old ones would lose all theyr value. i agree as well that modern cars suck. so many things look the exact same, alomst all 4dr sedans are the same. thats why mustangs are so bitchin, cause they look completley new and original.

I prefer the front and rear ends of the 05-19 cars, they have that old school muscle car look, which is why I bought it in the first place. But the hip, fender flares, and interior are better on the new car. I read somewhere that the '11 will finally have a manumatic for the 6 speed auto too. Those are the things I miss in my '09.

You suddenly speak for everybody?? I loved my '05 Mustang GT but I truly enjoy this 2010 car alot more than I did the '05. It is overall a better car in my opinion.

I love all of them. The winning points to me for the 05-09 is:
1) Front look is better to me.
2) The round vents in the interior look better to me and like the 360º rotation too.
3) Back end looks better to me except for the '10 larger tailpipes.
4) Having a functional keyhole to open the trunk is nice.
Everything else about the '10 models are better. Mainly the hip does look better. Along with extra sound deadening and smoother ride/better suspension. A nice ride means a lot to me. The '10s are a better ride. Wish my '08 had an outside temperature gauge. I have to buy the mirror accessory to get it. Quick fill gas door is nice on the '10s. The inside button to open the trunk is a no brainer. What else have I left out '10 owners?
