Coolan Expansion Tank Help? Plastic one bulging bad.
Anybody using an aftermarket coolant expansion tank. My stock had to be relocated to the shock tower area, part of the Paxton Supercharger kit. Its a POS plastic case which looks like is going to explode anyday, by the look of its bulging sides. I see Canton has a nice replacement 80-239 designed to replace for Paxton/Vortech kits. I remember Moroso having something like it at last SEMA show in new product gallery. Anybody have either one? How do you like fit and finish? Price? Where from?
I found the Canton at Summit for the cheapest but was looking for a coupon code if anybody has on.

thanks for the tip, mellow! i was gonna get it from 281 motorsports for $30 more!
unless you're doing this swap very soon, make sure you release the pressure on that plastic tank each time after it cools down. i wonder why the paxton tank sucks so much?

Yeah, I looked on everyones site and was surprised to see it so low there. It is backorderd though. And the Paxton tank is cheap plastic.

I'm sorry we cant always be as cheap as Summit. But I will say this, try getting service or someone that has actually used the part on the phone! Not that this mod has any real level of difficulty, if you did need help...good luck. I did go to their site and found them for $135. I would be willing to match that price just to keep Summit from getting your money for the first 5 orders the come from this forum. If you guy's ever see something that we're high on, let me know. If we can make the deal and still keep a profit we'd be more than happy to help. I will tell you this though, we have a first class shop building some of the sickest Mustangs. Check us out!
