Default Where would a gas smell be coming from

only when I slow down like at a stop light? It's the only time I smell it. Any other time I don't smell it. I only smell it if the vent is open also. Only when I slow down for a stop light or turning into a parking lot, or parking the car.

Exhaust leak? I had that issue so I lifted the car up and sure enough, one of the bolts that connected the h-pipe to the manifolds was missing. I replaced it, tightened everything up and it was good to go.

Thanks Tombohum. An exhaust leak smelled like gas?

The fuel filter is located almost directly under the driver's seat. I'd check for leaks.

I looked under where the fuel filter is. But, didn't take any covers off and didn't see anything. Do I have to take any covers off to see the possible leak there? Or should I just see it by looking under there?

Check the evep. return line that goes over the exhaust on the passenger side rear. Mine was sitting on the exhaust and melting slowly until I moved it when installing my axle backs.

The tune is new. It's for a FRPP CAI. But, when I had the Granatelli CAI I was smelling gas on that too.

If you can smell the gas, I would think there would be a wet spot of fuel some place; it maybe very small. Check all around the fuel system, tank, gas cap, as stated before fuel filter, rubber hoses, etc. No check engine light or fault codes? Wish I could help more, but a good visual inspection can sometimes spot the trouble. Good luck!

Yes, I've been looking but can't find any leak. I'll have to look harder.
