Window Tint Opinion

I did 40 ceramic on the front three and 5 ceramic on the rear three. I got pulled over for it, the deputy metered it and quickly returned to his car in embarrassment, even if the rest was illegal and he told me so.

I did 35% on front windows and back (have SHR side louvers) on black stang with red interior. If laws weren't so strict in VA would go darker probably 20% but can't afford to rip it off and replace.

Here are the only really decent pics I have that show how mine looks...Hopefully the weather will be nice this weekend and I'll be able to get a bunch of better pics of the car.
Usually can't see into the car too easily...but the guy that did the tinting said that most of the time if cops can see into the car that your seatbelt is on they won't hassle you. So far I haven't had any problems...even when they've pulled me over for other stuff.

listen to people when they say that the moleskin is a must. i waited two weeks after i got my tint to install it, both windows were scratched. it is a must. its easy to install it also. there are write up and how to's for it on here somewhere...
here is my car. tint is 13% all the way around, including brow...zero problems with the cops. there are state officers around here that patrol in mustangs. the only one i see all the time i run into at gas stations and he's always complimented me on the white black contrast and gives a friendly wave when we pass on the highway. pics:

I work for the Florida Department of Transportation, and I will tell you with the seat belt law here in this state, troopers carry light meters. The 2 front sides can't be no less than 28%, the rear could be anything. The reason. Seat belt laws...They want to be able to look in your side window to see if your wearing a seat belt. If they can't see, there's a chance you will get pulled over. If your tint is against the law it must be removed on the spot. Plus a ticket for $150.00. Check with your state really.... I have 28 front & 15% rear.

Mine are 15% on the drivers/passenger windows and 5% on the back ones. With the back being so dark it makes it look like the 15% isn't as dark as it is in comparison. Our state law is 33% on the front windows. I have never been pulled over for it.

I work with the troopers a lot, they only do it when there bored. Or have to make a quota for tickets. Arizona may be different. Its only the troopers here.Tampa P.D. don't have the machines yet.....
