I jack my car up by the pumpkin daily. I think it's fun to take risks that could cause chassis damage. Yeah....Cause that's possible.

If you're halfway intelligent there should be no problem jacking a car up by the differential. Avoid the cover, and stay evenly on the "flat bottom" of the pumpkin. Gee, wonder why Ford put a flat bottom on the pumpkin? Probably aerodynamics. Yeah....That's it.

i love when people bring up how long they have been 'on the forum.' A guy can been working at Shelby for the last 10 years as a engineer and join the forum today and by GT Premi's belief he would be a dumb box of rocks

OMG keep this going ..

I'm not taking any sides here, but wtf does 2 years of tech school have to do with 27 years of experience on changing spark plugs and wiper blades ?

anyways. I've done it before. just not to my mustang. heh

I was afraid of jacking by the pumpkin...until I was forced to. Now I know the safe way to do it. Avoid the diff cover, and you're FINE.

Step 1: Floor jack

Step 2: Block of wood (use common sense folks...)

Step 3: Profit
