Default Antenna removal

Hey guys,

Is there a substitute for the antenna? Its 2010 and Ford is still putting on a ugly antenna for our radio when it possible, and rather cheap at mass production, to put them in the rear window along side the defrost wires.

I found this link for an interior antenna but I am not sure on the reception or look. Let me know if have done this or know anyone who has.

If you have other ideas, please share.

Thanks,

I'm not a big fan of it, but there's the BBR billet antenna: http://www.blowbyracing.com/20mubbrbian.html

Agreed, they need to go away! Especially the Sirius receiver/antenna on the trunk lid.

I re-made mine to be about 10 inches tall rather than the giant ugly thing previously attached.

Cut, epoxy, paint, good as new.

on the 2010 model its on the right rear fender and is about 9-10 inches, not like the way too long ones of the earlier S197's

I can deal with these, but the S197's antennas are obviously ridiculous

I have that on my car - my antenna broke off at the base and I couldn't get the piece out with an easy out so decided to try this. Works fine on my car, now I just need to remove the base and fill in the hole in the fender.
