Ok, even if you want the 2010, the prices of the 2010 will drop precipitously once the 2011's come out.

So if you truly want the best price, you should wait until the 2011's are on the lot. Then, drive away one of the last 2010's that they have. After all, the dealers are going to have a very hard time moving a car that looks the same as a 2011, but is slower.

You'll be able to get a few thousand off more, at the very least.

Also, back to your original question, take the one with the lowest price. Then, finance with someone like Penfed who was doing 4% auto loans for any time period.

do what you feel is best, i would wait, but since you have the money for a supercharger later, why not save some money now, for essentially the same car.

just joined this forum, i currently own a civic, but am planning on picking up a 2011 gt, it helps that i work for a company that participates in the ford plan x pricing. i won't have to pay high markups for one. but does anyone know what the sticker price will be?

I'm sure there will be additional 2010 discounts as the 2011 release nears ... the only problem is your selection will get smaller as far as getting the options and color you want. Pay a little more now and find the exact combo you want ... or wait until discounts are bigger and get whatever you can ...

$35376 and 0% for 60.
$34376 and 1.9% for 60
$33376 and the Ford standard rate

MSRP: 39k

I may go with the standard rate since I'll pay it off early and the interest savings won't really matter. Fair price? or should they go lower? I would wait for the 2011, but I rather not pay sticker when I can take the savings and buy an S/C.
The answer is clear, tell the dealer to stop the shell game on the numbers, if they can go 33,376 at the standard interest rate, they can do it at 0% as well.

My car stickered for $38,998. I got it out the door with X-Plan and rebates for just over $31,500.....

The car I'm looking at wilkinda is the same exact car I'm looking to buy. Grabber blue with the exact same options, even the seats are the same.

I'm not too familiar with X-Plan, but if I could get a pin or whatever you need, that'd be ideal if I can get that car for that price.

I bought my 09 last July right after the 10's came out & I realized how much I hated the new rear end. Anyway, I'm retired military & a member of DAV, so I got x-plan. But the big plus was the rebate. In July they jumped to $4500. So, all in all, I saved almost $7500 off sticker. Moral of the story: Watch the rebates! The longer the 10's sit, the higher the rebates get.

Duh! The prices the dealer gave him are invoice minus the various rebate/financing deals...

So the price is negotiated for each rebate/financing rate option. I only suggested to get the payments at those prices to see the difference in payments. Then you can make your mind up.

But yeah, if you wait for the 2011's to hit the lot, the rebates on the 2010's will only get larger!

BTW, X-Plan pricing is available on 2011 GT's. That means that they can be bought for invoice plus a couple of hundred dollars, not retail or above retail (This isn't a limited-production run Mustang like the GT500 - it REPLACES the 4.6 GT).
