Shaker Hood (preparing for install)

Shaker Hood (preparing for install)
My shaker hood came in today from American Muscle. I currently have a 18" Supersnake stripes on the car and kind of curious to how the vinyl will react when I start to cut the hole for the shaker?
The stripes that is on the hood currently is FUBAR and actually getting relayed Friday, should I install the shaker before the new vinyl or after in hopes not to screw it up?

I'm no pro, but here is what I would do...
Remove the current vinyl.
Remove the hood.
Cut the hood.
Install the new Vinyl.
Install the hood.
I bet the stripes would be a bugger to install with the hood on the car and the Shaker installed. And I would want the hood cut before I put the stripes on there. Then the vinyl that is extra is easily cut with a knife or whatever, rather than being sawed through.
JMHO.
And maybe there is some step in the process that would make my view completely wrong. But I figured I'd share anyway.

Found this write up and he already had his vinyl stripes installed...

Anyone else got any input?
Kind of thinking that I might go ahead and cut the hole for the shaker on Thursday, get the new vinyl installed on Friday (cut off extra) and then finish the install for the shaker on Friday night or Saturday.

the razor blade cut will keep the stripes from messing up. I bought a plastic drop cloth and taped it to the tape on the hood just outside where the jigsaw moves. Take drop cloth over the sides and up the windshield. Also had my wife hold a shop vac to help suck up the shavings as i cut. I used a cloth sewing tape to measure side to side and rear distance. Good luck, pretty easy, the hard part is drilling the first hole.
