Question Does this ever happen to you? (5spders)

Sup guys,

Recently, I noticed my wheels sort of slipping when I'm accelerating from stop. I have traction control on, always have. It seems like there's not enough traction and the whole car sort of shakes? It's not like I'm starting out fast either, just regular 1st gear into second. By the time I get going it's gone. Sometimes I exhibited even when I downshift into 2nd, it will occur as well. Any reason why? It's kind of annoying. I had it happen before, but now it seems like it's almost constantly there.

Thanks.

could it have anything to do with the fact that it is winter and traction isnt as good? My car has been breaking loose at every intersection because its still sandy and damp.

Nah not really. Been driving it all winter. It's actually Spring like weather here.

I just hoped it wasn't my driveshaft again, or tires.

Seems like a decent amount from my observation. The car has about 40k miles and never did change tires but they're not flat or anything remotely close.

It sounds like wheel hop. Are your wheels actually spinning or does it just FEEL like they are spinning?

It feels like they're spinning, the car shakes and it seems like it won't grasp the road. I don't know how to describe it better unfortunately.

Your tires are toast, I just recently replaced tires and the car launches much harder now. With the old tires(38,000 they lasted), it was impossible to get traction from a standstill, it was just slip and slide. You need tires.............

Sounds like wheel hop if you are getting a shuddering along with no acceleration. The TCS won't kick in and instead the wheel hop will kinda act like that I think. I used to have this problem when I first got the car and wasn't used to driving it. Used to just floor it b/c I thought that was the quickest way to launch. Got new tires and it's gone (or maybe I just got better at driving).

I've had my car shake like all hell when I go WOT but it hasnt happend for awhile. Cant exactly remember when it happens, other than when I'm getting on it very hard. I assumed it was from loosing traction and the TC kicking in...
