Has anyone added component 6 1/2 speakers to the area where the shaker sub goes? My car doesn't have the sub hole, but I figure I can just cut out a hole and stick the 6 1/2 in there. Or would it be better to try and fit the 6 1/2 where the 6x8s are and lower the 6x8s for the door sub area? Any pics.

I put a set of 6.5's in the top area and cut out a spot for the tweeters. I didn't change the door subs because I put 2 12"s in the trunk.

put the 6.5's and the tweeters in the upper spot. It'll fit you just have to make a mount. Dont throw holes in your door panels I think it looks lame. And unless you have the shaker door panel i advice against blowing a hole in teh bottom of it theirs not enough room unless you make a huge spacer which will look like A$$.
