ya, i cant afford the 5.0's. def out of my price range. and again, i want to swap over parts so i cant put them on the 2010's and 2011's.
ya i was suprised they would give me that much for my V6, so how much would you guys expect that CS to be around? 16k? 17k maybe?

First thing I'm going to ask is are you upside down on your car?
If so, I would hold of on upgrading. You're just going to end up burying yourself in a steeper car payment.
If not, I would ask how much longer before your car is paid off?
I just bought an 07 about a year ago. My plan is to pay this car off (or get close to where I have positive equity on the car) and then upgrade. But the idea is to keep the payments low. You may just want to be patient for the next year or two and then invest on a newer GT with more HP.
BTW, I suppose $21k for a CS is reasonable, but I would save for a 2011 GT. It will pay off in the long run.

Well, First off, you can get more for your trade, and pay less for that car. If you can do it, go for it, after you go f/i with the 6er, what else can you do? You won't get that v-8 sound or performance possibilities.
First thing, part out your car. The dealer won't give you any more money for aftermarket add ons, so hopefully you can make a few hundred dollars (or more).
Second, negotiate the overall price of the car, don't mention anything about your trade. If you do, they'll only negotiate that and not touch the price of the car, trust me on that one. Realistically, I could see you buying the gt for 17-18, and getting 10.5-11 for your trade. Just stay at it and negotiate hard, with 2010's on the lots, the prices should go down, and when the 11's come on the lot, it will go down even more! Good luck
