Default Ebay Fuel pump replacement for 2005+ mustang gt?

Has anybody here tried these fuel pumps on ebay? My 2005 mustang gt has given a low fuel pressure error. I'm assuming its the fuel pump? Has anybody replaced it before with these below? is it easy to do? I dont want to spend $400 on the oem one at the dealer while these ones are below $50.

Any insight?

have you changed your fuel filter?

it's due every 15,000 miles. A clogged filter can kill your MPG's and eventually throw a low pressure code or similar fault

I bought a new pump on ebay. I replaced mine b/c I had the surging problem which there's a TSB for. One thing you still need to buy at the stealer is the oring that goes between the tank and the pump assembly. You should not reuse the one that's already there. Mine "looked" fine, but you don't want to assume when it comes to this b/c the last thing you need is fuel to be sprayed all inside while driving.

I have changed the fuel filter after the error. Well also after a long highway drive, it jolts like the engine is coming out when I full throttle. I did get the TSB done on that a couple years ago, but now its back.... terrible terrible fuel pump design?

Sirknight which fuel pump did you buy on ebay? could you post the link of it on here? a new o ring (part number?) from the dealer, how much did that ding you? also just to keep this at a informational post, could you let me know how you did the install? basics i know so far is, take out the fuel pump fuse, start the car till it dies, then take out the negative battery terminal? then take out the back seat, 2 clips under the back seat then pull up then i'm stuck there (is there 2 fuel pumps? driver side and passenger side?)

Most information helpful thanks man

am i understanding correctly that you dont actually have to drop the tank to do the fuel pump. maybe its time to do mine. after crusing on the highway for a while i have the cavitation problem or whatever you call it and it pisses me off beyond belief

The pump in question is under the L/H rear seat assy. It takes some twisting, leaning, etc to fit it out of the tank opening after you remove the back seat bottom.

I had also bought a complete pump assy & did not install a 'repair' kit.
