Default Mustang 2010 GT or Mustang 2011 V6

In Canada, they are currently selling the Mustang 2010 GT for around 25000$, the prices are out for the Mustang 2011 V6. Fully equipped pony style retails for 30000$. I was wondering what you guys thought would be the better choice. I don't drive that much, so gas is not that big of an issue. I am wondering if the GT will hold its wow factor once the 2011 V6 come out. And if the 5000$ is worth it to get the V6

Anyways thanks for the ideas...

I wouldn't ever pay more for a V6 in a Mustang.

The 2010 GT will be faster and sound better than the 2011 V6. So $5,000 more for a V6 is out of the question IMO!

If I recall correctly, the 2011 Mustang V6ers will have the ecoboost engine, correct?
If so, it will pack around 365 horses!
The V8 will always sound better.
With that said, will the 2010 Mustang GT still be faster?

The V6 will have 304HP while the GT will still have 315HP

$5000 less = $5000 for mods = more than 315hp

None. Save up for '11 GT or wait for the price to level out. Go big or go home.

Will be awhile before mods become available anyways.

Not really keen on waiting, I need to replace my car in June since our current lease is ending

No ecoboost for the Mustang.

The new Duratec 3.7 liter V6 is a great engine with 305 hp, but torque is where the 2010 GT will dominate the 2011 V6. Most publications have the 0-60 times for the new V6 at 5.6 - 5.8 seconds where the 2010 GT is at 4.9 - 5.0 seconds.

Ahhh, I see. I guess it was a rumour that the 2011 V6 were going to the ecoboost engine.

I know the new Ford Taurus has the ecoboost engine. I was suprised!!!

Personally, I would go for the GT!!!
