Used GT500 vs 2011 GT
So, I had been holding out to purchase a new 2011 when they come out but have been seeing some slightly used GT500s that are roughly the same price. I figure the 2011 GT will end up costing me about 35-38k once I get everything I want (CS and or Glass Roof being the most expensive options). I'm seeing 2007-2009 GT500s our there with under 5k miles listing for around $38k. To be honest, I'd much rather have a new car so I have a warrantee and can get better financing but I'm kind of torn now. I had been set on the 2011 GT but made the mistake of playing around on auto trader.
What do you all think? Also, do you get more for your trade in when you purchase new or does it not matter?
This is one of the deals I was talking about:

If it were me I'd go for the GT500 for sure. That being said, it's not about what I want or anyone else wants you to do. You said you really wanted a new car so do what makes you happy, you'll be the one driving it for the next XX years.

I'm in the same same boat as you, but i think i'm leaning towards the '11 GT now, I like the GT500 but not a fan of the extra nose weight in the used one's. I wish i could afford the '11 GT500. If anything I'll drive the GT for a couple years and trade up to a '11 GT500 when the prices start falling.

On the other hand this deal is pretty hard to pass up...

I should also mention that I currently live in a condo and don't have a garage and travel every week for work so I don't need a car (my wife's works fine) I only drive my current car a few miles each weekend.. It would kill me to have that car parked outside every week and not be able to drive it.

I'd go twenty-leven GT. Those GT500s have probably been ridden hard. I know I would've it they'd been mine! And like somebody else said, that nose weight on the GT500 is a bit much. Not to mention the better interior in the twenty-leven. I went to a dealership last year to check out a '10 GT in person. They had a brand new GT500 on the lot, white w/ blue stripes. Offered it to me for just a bit over the cost of a '10 GT I configured for an order. I still turned it down. Well, to be honest, I held off on ordering the '10 GT for that matter. And BOY am I glad I did!! At the time it wasn't public knowledge that the 5-oh was coming back.
