I'm 22. I pay $185 month ($500 deductible) for full coverage for both my 08 jetta and 10' mustang GT. It helps that i'm married i guess. I was paying a lot until I went to a insurance broker that found me an awesome policy with travelers insurance.

Who are you insured with?
Sorry for the late reply. I'm with State Farm. And looking at my statements, I'm actually at $850 every six months since my accident, if that makes a difference.

Although keep in mind that insurance is very regional. I'm in Texas and you're in NY. That being said, call up a state farm rep around your area and if they still quote you the ridiculously high rate (is that really your price for liability only?!?!), straight up ask them why. I can't imagine what could possibly be on your record that could make your rate that high.

Maybe there's a mistake on your record and someone typed in that you've been in 10 accidents or had 10 tickets or something?

Thanks for the info. The state minimums are just plain scary. $5,000 property damage? That's nothing! Same with the $15k/$30k medical limits. A broken bone is probably nearly $15k when everything is said and done. I raised my coverage to $100k/$300k/$100k for peace of mind.

I'm 23, married, I pay $190 a month for my 2010 Stang, a 2010 Focus, and my house.

Which I guess is pretty damn good considering my driving record isn't exactly squeaky clean, in fact, its rather uh....filthy.

State Farm....$500 deductible, coverage of $100k/$300k/$100k.

Another thing no one has mentioned. Your credit score. If your credit score is jacked, you will get charged higher for insurance.

Whew, yeah dude, 20 yrs old and driving a GT in New York... you're screwed.

FWIW, I'm 24, with 3 incidents on my driving record (2 "high" speeding tickets and one acciden), good credit, and my policy for two vehicles (my 2010 stang and a 91' comanche pickup) is $202 a month with Geico.

The Hartford is a good company. My wife had them right when we met and they were very fast at getting her car fixed.

I'm 35 years old. Only one ticket in my driving career (going 45 in a 35), no accidents. I'm married. I pay $98 dollars per month and that includes:

- My 2010 Mustang
- My Wife's 2010 Volvo XC60
- Insurance on our Condo
- Insurance on our House

Deductible is $200. The company is called Erie Insurance. I knew they were good because my wife's friend is a Lawyer for GEICO and she has Erie as well.

...And don't move to CT either: 51 years old, credit score just shy of 800, no tickets for 18 years, '10 Mustang GT and '03 Ranger FX4 Level II, Full coverage100/300/100 w/250 ded thru AARP (Hartford) = 1800/yr. Maybe cheaper when I retire and get out of this state!
