For the best deal tell the dealer $24,000 out the door or I want the 2011. If he gets the 2010 he'll love it but, in the back of his mind he'll always wish he had bought the 2011. He could also wait about 2 years for a great deal on a barely used 2011. If I were going to buy a 2011 I think I'd do that and hope to get a fully loaded 2011 that retailed for somewhere around $35,000 for $25,000 used a year later with maybe 20,000 miles on it or so.

I am not convinced that newer is always better. I have a 2010 and shortly after I bought it a sweet 2007 Saleen came available with almost no mileage for way way less they I paid for the 2010 (and I thought I got a good deal). I think if you are the type that has to have the latest greatest you will come out way behind in the financial aspect of buying cars. We already heard Ford Engineer say that he didn't notice much difference in driving the 2010 vs 2011 driving wise. If he is paying cash, get the 2011. If you are taking a loan, get the 2010...or look for a great deal on a 2005-2010. All the cars will be fun to drive.

Don't assume. I don't want a 2011. The 2010 already has too much electric interference of driving, the 2011 will only be worse.

I'd say don't assume it's going to be worse. You won't know until you drive one. I can't imagine anything on the newer model being worse. I'd like to think Ford is moving forward, not backward.

This is interesting. The general consensus is that those without the 2010 say "get the 2011", while those with it say "get the 2010".

$7k or roughly $140 savings every month on the car payment is decent amount of money. Especially in this economy.
