Usually, I suggest choosing the car that you really WANT and forget about price. However, seven grand is a lot of money and could easily buy a hot tub, new deck or a cruise to Hawaii and still get the 2010. My theory however gets thrown out the window if he is the type of guy that tends to look back at the past with woeful regret.
If he is like the average person and financing his car for 60 months paying 7k less would save him about $140.00 per month over 60 months. Which would be a savings of $8400.00. I'd get the 2010 and not look back.
5.0.... I think he'd regret having the opportunity to have the coyote 5.0 w/6 speed and not pulling the trigger.... then be asking himself a year or two down the road "well what if..." that's just my opinion though
Get the 2011. But if he wants the 2010, I'm sure the biggest rebates will come when the 2011s are sitting along side the 2010s. (If there are 2010 leftovers after the 2011s are on dealer floors)
