Default Well.....next weakest link has been found!

For those who dont know my car. Its a single turbo setup pushing 10-15 psi, making around 550 to the rear wheels with a little over 600 ft pounds of torque. Built motor and running the stock 5 speed with a spec 3+ clutch. So today was such a great day, tires had great traction. So while i was pushing 15psi, I slammed second gear and heard a loud pop followed by alot of vibration and alot of noise.Motor is fine, but i have no second gear now.

Soooo.....heres my options, if anyone can help with these, let me know!!

1) find another 3650 5 speed
2) find a tr6060 gt500 swap
3) find a built 3650 5 speed

i think i already know a place that can rebuild mine, but i dont know how much damage is already done so it may get expensive.

Im in the central florida area if anyone has any transmission hook ups, know where i can get a tranny or where i can get a gt500 swap.

http://www.steeda.com/products/tremec_tr-6060.php. this sounds like a good deal for a 6-speed swap kit

Sounds like bad news for you and me around Tampa area lately. You blow your engine and ford remote starts my car and it drives itself into a pond.

I would of thought the input shaft too.

I have a plan for when/if mine goes. Either a rebuilt 3650 with 26 spline shaft or 4r70w. I go back and forth. If it happened right now I'd go with the auto. It would mean no more clutch/slave cylinder/ changes along with flywheel surfacing. That crap is already old and I've only dropped the tranny 3 times. It wouldn't be any harder than swapping out the manual. You can have a trans brake if you want. No more notchy shifts.

Hell, I'm not even on the fence now. Auto all the way. Think I'll start collecting parts.
